Schedule of Events
The English Circary will gather at St. Norbert Abbey prior to the opening of the 2012 General Chapter. Abbot Eugene Hayes, O. Praem. will convene the meeting beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012. English Circary members are asked to arrive at the Abbey by Thursday, July 19, 2012. Rooms and meals will be provided at the Abbey at no cost to members.
Saturday July 21, 2012, all Chapter participants are invited to a ‘welcome gathering’ at St. Joseph Priory on the campus of St. Norbert College. The Priory community invites the Chapter to evening prayer at 5:00 p.m. in Old St. Joseph Church, followed by a social and cookout at the Vanden Heuvel Campus Center. Dress for this gathering is informal.
The General Chapter will officially open with Mass at St. Norbert Abbey on Sunday, July 22, 2012. Chapter participants will leave the St. Norbert College campus at 1:15 p.m. by bus for the Abbey. The Mass will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a social to follow. The Abbey community will host General Chapter participants for Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m. with buses returning to the college following Evening Prayer. Dinner for the Chapter will be at the college at 6:30 p.m. Recreation will take place on the first floor of Michels Commons beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The DAY SCHEDULE below outlines, in general, the times and locations of meetings, meals, and prayers for each day of the General Chapter. Changes to the Day Schedule and reminders will be made in the aula at the beginning of each day.

The General Chapter will meet on Saturday, July 28, 2012, in the morning only. A special schedule will be announced later. Recreational and other opportunities will be provided on Saturday & Sunday, July 28-29, 2012.
The 2012 General Chapter will conclude with Mass and dinner at St. Norbert Abbey on Friday, August 3, 2012. Buses will transport Chapter participants to the Abbey at 2:15 p.m. for Mass at 3:00 p.m. The Abbey will host a social and festive dinner following the Mass. The Chapter will return to the college campus following dinner. Recreation will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Michels Commons.
The morning schedule for Saturday, August 4, 2012, will be announced at the Chapter. Breakfast will be served. Participants will need to move out of their rooms at the college by noon. Those who stay longer will be transported to the Abbey for the remainder of their time in De Pere. The Associates from St. Norbert Abbey will transport Chapter participants to the airport.
