Our brother Walter Paiement (PAY-mont) was born in Champion, Michigan, in 1896.  He joined the Order in 1916 and was solemnly professed in 1921.

Walter was the athletic director at the college from 1921 to 1924. From 1927 until 1932, he spent his summers at the lodge at Sayner, where he enjoyed fishing and hunting in the fall

In 1928, after studying at the Preacher’s Institute in Washington, D.C., he preached missions until 1933.  He then became the pastor of St. Louis in Dykesville.

Becoming ill in 1947, Walter spent a short time recuperating at the Madison novitiate and then in Marinette, for an extended period of convalescence.  He died on Wednesday, March 12, 1952, at the age of 55
