Our brother John Mailhot ((MY-ott) was born in Dollar Bay, Michigan in 1916.  After his sophomore year at the college, he joined the Order and was solemnly professed in 1942.

Assigned to teaching at Southeast Catholic as a frat, he accumulated credits from Catholic University during the summers.  In 1943, he was transferred to Central Catholic, where he became assistant athletic director in 1943 and then director in 1947. 

John completed his research thesis in economics in 1950 at the University of Wisconsin and upon receiving his M.A. was appointed to the college.   While continuing to teach at the college he became the pastor of St. Martin ’s in Tonet.  John died  Monday,  February 12, 1962 at the age of 46.
