Father Frigo was raised in Aurora, WI. He received elementary education in Aurora, graduated from St. Norbert H.S. in 1942 and St. Norbert College in 1946, both in DePere, WI. He attended Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and graduated 1967. Father entered the Novitiate of the Norbertine Order, the Canons Regular of Premontre, in August of 1942. Professed first Vows 1944 and Solemn Vows in 1947. Father was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest on 1949-06-11 by Bishop Stanislaus V. Bona at the Cathedral of St. Francis Xavier, Green Bay, WI. Father's first assignment was to St. Norbert H.S., then in 1950 he was assigned to Southeast Catholic/Bishop Neumann H.S. where he taught Religion, Italian and Russian. In addition to teaching, Father was the moderator of the Alumni Assn. - The Millay Club from 1970 through 2010. In 1977, Father Frigo was named the "Man of the Year" by the Alumni Assn. During these years of teaching, Father was providing ministerial assistance at many of the South Phila. parishes, most often at Epiphany of Our Lord Church and for many years at Our Lady of Consolation in the Tacony section of Phila. Father also was a member and Chaplain of the Sons of Italy Council #2438 since 1979 and received the "Man of the Year" award in 1984. During the summer months from 1975 through 1996, Father Frigo provided ministerial services at Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, FL. From his many years at Bishop Neumann he is fondly remembered for his Friday Cheese Hoagies Days.
