Born in 1924, he was vested in 1943, professed in 1945 and ordained in 1949.  He served on the faculty of Southeast Catholic / Bishop Newmann High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and also served as the principal of the school.

In 1963 he became Prior de Regimine of the newly founded Daylesford Priory and was elected first abbot in 1971.  He served as Definitor of the Order from 1968 until 1976, and Vicar of the Abbot General for the English-speaking Circary from 1976 until 1988.  He continued in office until 1989.  

Following completion of his term he served as pastor of St. Matthew Parish in Dauphin, Pennsylvania.

He retired to the abbey and died there on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008 on his 84th birthday.
