Our brother Philip Gamache was born in L’Anse, Michigan in 1906.  After graduating from St. Norbert High and his sophomore year at the college, he joined the Order in 1925.  Having taught at the college for two years, he was solemnly professed in 1930.

Philip taught at Southeast Catholic from 1934 until 1936, when he became a missionary in Jabalpur, India.  After returning to the college two years later, he was appointed assistant pastor in Manistique, Michigan.  

From 1945 to 1949, he taught once again at Southeast.  Beginning in 1950, Philip ministered in New Hampshire, New York, Alabama and Georgia.  He died on Tuesday, December 9, 1958 at the age of 52.
