Welcome to the web page for the Roman Catholic Order of Canons Regular of Premontre.  Here you will find religious and scholarly texts, Abbey locations, and other things of interest. Latin and English are used in the menus, the language of the authors is used in the texts, and English is used everywhere else. We have chosen English because it seems to be emerging as the most widespread language of technology and information today.  We apologize for any errors we may make due to our limited computer lettering and symbols.  We hope you enjoy this web page.  Press here to see the table of contents.

Nous avons choisi l'anglais parce qu'il semble la langue la plus répandue pour la technologie et l'informatique aujourd'hui. Wir begrüssen Sie auf der Webseite des Römisch-Katholischen Premonstratenserordens. Sie finden hier religiöse und akademische Texte, Ortsbeschreibungen der jeweiligen Abteien sowie weitere interessante Dinge. In den verschiedenen Unterbereichen wird Latein oder Englisch benutzt, in den Texten die jeweilige Autorensprache und Englisch in allen anderen Bereichen. Wir haben Englisch gewählt, weil es heutzutage die geläufigste Sprache im Technologie- und Informatikbereich ist. Wir möchten uns auch für eventuelle Fehler entschuldigen, die aufgrund unserer begrenzten Kenntnisse auf dem Gebiet der Informatik und der Symbolik entstehen können. Qui troverai testi di spiritualitá e testi teologici, immagini dell'Abbazia ed altre cose interessanti. Nell'indice sono usati il latino e l'inglese, per i testi é usata la lingua del testo originale, per il resto é usato sempre l'inglese. Abbiamo preferito l'inglese, perché é la lingua piú diffusa nel campo della tecnologia e dell'informazione. Ci scusiamo per eventuali errori dovuti alla insufficienza di caratteri e simboli. Speriamo che questa pagina web ti piaccia.

O Latim e o Inglęs săo usados nos menús; e nos textos é empregada a linguagem dos seus autores. Faz-se uso do Inglęs em todo o resto por nos parecer a língua preferencialmente usada na tecnologia e informaçăo. Pedimos desculpa por qualquer ęrro que tenhamos praticado, dadas as restricçőes alfabéticas e de acentuaçăo do nosso computador. Esperamos que a nossa página lhe agrade.

Welkom op de site van de orde van de Norbertijnen. U kunt hier niet alleen religieuze en wetenschappelijke teksten vinden, maar ook abdijen en andere wetenswaardigheden. De menu's zijn in het Engels en Latijn, geciteerde teksten zijn in de oorspronkelijke taal. De overige tekst is in het Engels. Wij hebben gekozen voor Engels omdat dit de meest gebruikte taal lijkt in de technologie en voorlichting. Wij bieden onze verontschuldigingen aan voor eventuele fouten ontstaan door de beperkingen van onze computer wat betreft lettertypen en symbolen. Wij hopen dat u veel plezier beleeft aan deze pagina's.

Üdvözöljük a Premontrei Római Katolikus Rend honlapján. Az alábbiakban vallási és tudományos szövegeket, a kolostorok helyét, valamint egyéb érdekes dolgokat talál. A menüpontokat latinul és angolul, a szövegeket az eredeti nyelven olvashatja. Más egyéb esetekben az angol nyelvet használjuk. Az angol nyelv mellett döntöttünk, mivel ez ma a technika és az információsz olgáltatás legszélesebb körben használt nyelve. Elnézést kérünk a T. Látogatóinktól minden olyan nyelvtani hibáért, elírásért, mely a rendelkezésre álló betukészleteink korlátaiból ered.  Reméljük élvezni fogja oldalainkat.

V menu je pouzito latinskeho a anglickeho jazyku, v jednotlivych textech je pouzito jazyka autoru a vse ostatni je psano jazykem anglickym. Anglictina byla pouzita, protoze se zda byti v dnesni dobe nejrozsirenejsim jazykem pouzivanym ve svete techniky a informatiky. Omlouvame se za pripadne chyby zpusobene nasimi omezenymi moznostmi pocitacu pracovat s diakritickymi znamenky. Doufame, ze se Vam nase WEB stranky budou libit.

This site is a WORK IN PROGRESS.  It is designed and managed by the Internet Commission of the Order of Canons Regular of Prémontré, through the CanOnline copyright.  We ask your patience as we progress toward completion - although - since this is a living website for a living Religious Order of priests, brothers, sisters and laymen, it will probably never be 'finished'.   

The original impetus for this website can be found in Pope John Paul II's address "On the Church and Computer Culture" given in connection with World Communications Day, May 27, 1989:

"Surely we must be grateful for the new technology which enables us to store information in vast man-made artificial memories, thus providing wide and instant access to the knowledge which is our human heritage, to the Church's teaching and tradition, the words of Sacred Scripture, the counsels of the great masters of spirituality, the history and traditions of the local churches, of religious orders and lay institutes, and to the ideas and experiences of initiators and innovators whose insights bear constant witness to the faithful presence in our midst of a loving Father who brings out of His treasure new things and old."
